Hi, I’m Isobel Knight, founder of The Roam Edit — a bespoke travel planning service created to help you experience Mallorca in a deeper, more intentional way.

Mallorca has always held a special place in my heart. I’ve visited annually since childhood, and in 2019 my family bought our first home in Porto Colom, a charming fishing town on the island’s east coast. Since then, I’ve been traveling there every other month — so much so that to us, it is our home.

We’ve celebrated family birthdays, holidays, and even quiet off-season Christmases — discovering Mallorca’s true spirit through peaceful coastal walks, hidden local restaurants, seasonal traditions, and meaningful connections with locals. These experiences revealed a side of the island that most visitors miss: the genuine soul of Mallorca.

With island tourism having recovered considerably — bringing in around nine million visitors a year and consistently top-ranking on many travel sites as a summer destination — finding the quiet, local places matters more than ever.
